Scott and I went to Gainesville on 4/10/04. This was my first autocross, and it showed.. I was in the Spa that did that cool spin out near the finish line on the third run that would have been best time.

I was on stock tires with 13.5k miles on them. Each tire was also low 6 pounds for my first three runs. After the third run/spin out, Scott put air in my tires and I ran much better, but more conservative since I had just spun out. Knocked my side strake loose too taking out all those cones with it.

Scott, Todd, and Nate were also there from these boards. Scott got third in his class, Nate placed third in our novice class, and Todd got first in his class. Everyone but me got a trophy or 3rd place or better.

There were about 7 S2000s running and a couple owners watching. It was a pretty good turn out. Can't wait to do it again. Thanks to everyone that came out and to those that helped me out. Also thanks to The Martin Sports Car Club for putting this together!

Thanks to my wife Lisa for going. She took the photos of me running, and some of a few you you others. I took the majority of the shots between my runs and working the course. I really enjoyed working the start line and sending the cars onto the track. That was a lot of fun!

Lisa is looking forward to inheriting the S2000 and doing some track events with Scott's wife Tina. Looking forward to that in August or September!
